Our Name
We're named after the alidade (pronounced AL-ih-dayd), a navigational tool once used for measuring, surveying, and targeting. Alidades are similar in function to telescopes and sextants.
We're not named for Adelaide, the city in Australia.
Our Team
We are social listening and competitive intelligence subject matter experts. We've led advanced digital research practices advising major clients on brand, product, and policy messaging strategy using social, news, search, and web analytics.
Connor Schmidt
Co-Founder & CEO
At Alidade: Connor manages the business, including client services, communications, and day-to-day operations.
Before Alidade: Connor led digital strategy teams, consulted on brand and product positioning, and managed public affairs campaigns.
Outside Alidade: Connor is based in Seattle, WA and can be found golfing, rooting for the Patriots, collecting Blu-rays, and walking his chihuahua Millie.
Milo Stroik
Co-Founder & CTO
At Alidade: Milo is responsible for all aspects of technical development and product strategy.
Before Alidade: Milo was a digital researcher at a consulting firm and led the development of several internal AI-based research tools.
Outside Alidade: Milo is based in Washington, DC and enjoys building side projects, supporting DC sports teams, and occasionally golfing.
